Piano Day 2025
Piano Day 2025 charity events - a recap
Piano Day is an international event that celebrates piano and everything about it. It takes place on the 88th day of the year – because of the 88 keys on the piano. For our fifth annual Piano Day celebrations we put on three exciting events; morning yoga with live piano, a piano open house and an evening concert with a wide range of talented pianists. All proceeds went to the charity Help Musicians who provide crucial support to working or retired musicians during both challenging times and moments of opportunity. In total we raised over £1,600 for this fantastic cause - a massive thank you for helping us achieve this! Here’s the lowdown on how we celebrated the day:
Morning yoga with a live pianist
20 people joined us in the Treehouse for a serene yoga session led by Lisa Willougby and accompanied by the soothing melodies of Sam Peña’s live piano. From experienced yogis to those just starting their journey, we had a wide mix of abilities in the room. We even had Waffle the dog, our own Director of Greetings join in! Delicious food boxes were served by our catering partner Berry & Brie which left our yogis feeling well nourished after their practice. It was a fantastic morning and our guests left feeling grounded, revitalised, and inspired.

Our Piano Day charity concert
This year’s charity concert featured a stunning lineup of pianists performing on our exquisite Steinway D Concert Grand Piano. The evening began with an introduction from Ross, our venue owner followed by his own piano rendition of the cinematic classic ‘If I only had a brain’ from the Wizard of Oz. To follow, Nick Sheva took the stage with three stunning compositions, ‘Patience’, ‘Illusions’ and ‘Origins’, followed by one of Sam Peña’s iconic piano medleys - this time mixing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Clocks’, ‘Golden Hour’ and more.
During the break, guests enjoyed a selection of canapés and platters from our catering partner, Sticks ‘n Sushi, accompanied by Crate beers and Yew soft drinks. Nick Sheva began the second half with a moving ‘Comptine d'un Autre Été’ from Amélie. Belle Chen followed with three of her own beautiful compositions—‘Three Birds’, ‘The Dragonfly’, and ‘Improvisation on Sakamoto’. Later in the evening, Sam invited the audience to collaborate on an impromptu improvisation and Jeremy Chan closed the night with an emotional performance of ‘Chopin’s Waltz in C Sharp Minor’ and a dramatic rendition of Chopin’s famous ‘Ballade No. 1 in G Minor’.
After the concert, guests chatted with the musicians and some even had a play on our concert grand piano. As with all our Piano Day concerts, the evening was a wonderful celebration and we can’t wait for next year’s event!
Meet our pianists
