Debut Opera presents Elixir of Love

Shoreditch Treehouse has teamed up with Debut Opera to present the 'The Elixir of Love'': a night of Opera, Broadway musicals, Classical guitar and song performed by a range of professional singers, pianists and instrumentalists from some of the UK's leading Opera and West end shows.

PERFORMERS

Rising star James Wafer winner of the Junior Kathleen Ferrier Competition and 'delightfully flirtatious' (Opera Magazine) soprano Caroline Kennedy who starred as Musetta in Opera Up Close's Olivier Award Winning production of La Boheme. Jules Lyons will be completing the line up and adding a soulful twist to the night having performed to huge arenas and stadiums globally!

We'll be joined by Portuguese classical guitarist Tiago Gomez (who had his 2008 concert guitar specially made for him by the world renowned Spanish luthier, Paco Santiago Marin!) and welcome back award winning pianist Chad Vindin and tenor David Fearn as well as your host, soprano Lizzie Holmes.

REPERTOIRE

Music on the night will include Verdi's homage to life - the 'Brindisi' (La Traviata), Don Giovanni's stunning 'Deh vieni' with guitar, music from the films including Des'ree's 'Kissing You' (Romeo + Juliet) and Cavatina (The Deer Hunter). From Schubert's hidden gem 'Heimliches Lieben' and Monteverdi's mesmerising love duet 'Pur ti Miro' we'll make a quick detour to Broadway for favourites from My Fair Lady and Cabaret and return to some Puccini, Handel & Rossini.
